Here is a collection of nonfiction books I find interesting as an atheist and I suspect will also be appreciated by other non-believers. I have not yet read all of these, but I plan to read every last one - time permitting. I will update the list as I come across more books that I feel should be included.
Ever wonder what God does all day?
Here is a collection of 41 atheism motivational posters. If you know of any more that are not on the list, post them in the comments!
Many people calculate Hitler's evilness by the massive number of deaths he was responsible for. When Eve ate an apple, God went psycho and damned all her offspring to die. It's estimated that there have been approximately 100 billion human births since the beginning of time -- all of them are dead and dying because god was angry at Eve for eating an apple. Bravo God, you really know how to show your love.
The following is an excerpt from the beginning of Richard Dawkin's The God Delusion:
Below is a video posted on youtube where an 8 year old actress speaks about religion and how bill O'Reilly is an idiot for blaming violence on rap music and video games when violence has been a part of every era of human history, typically as a result of religion.
Probably the most common argument that creationists use in defense of their crazy delusions is that if something looks designed, and its not designed by humans, then there is no possible other explanation except that an invisible all-powerful god did it; and of course that god is always the Christian god, never Zeus or Mithra, but I digress.
I wanted to create some sort of design that would incorporate multiple religious symbols in a way that is blasphemous to any of the corresponding religions. I had a couple ideas and after a while I came up with this design which I really like. It incorporates symbols for christianity, hinuism, judaism, yin yang, sikhism and thelemaism.
