Assuming you are cc2iscool, It would be wise to make sure the grammar on your own site is perfect (it's not) before calling someone else an idiot for grammar mistakes. Aside from the negativity, thank you for pointing out my mistake.
Unfortunately, I do have people that have grudges against me going around pretending to be me. I apologize that I was linked to this post. (Found this site as linked to my site by statistics.) I'm kind of surprised people would go this far to undermine me.
I usually like your material, Scott, but things like this are not helping at all. It's childish and antagonistic. All atheist meet people who really do behave the way the poster depicts, but many people are that way about ANYTHING, not just religion. If non-religious folks are ever to be accepted as anything but annoying ankle-snappers at best, and evil baby-eaters at worst, we're going to have to display a little more maturity than this.
You are absolutely right that everybody is like this for all sorts ideologies in life. Preconceived bias dies hard and nobody is 100% free of it including myself (although I try very hard to overcome it in light of logic). People often do this more with opinions (e.g. favorite sports team or political ideology) than with logical conclusions though; Because of that, the reason why I think this behavior is very profound - and worth ridicule - in creationists is because the opposing evidence towers over them in all directions, yet they just willfully and ignorantly shut themselves off from it as though they are wearing a mental blindfold.
When I am interacting with a creationist - well, anybody really - I do act mature and restrain from pre-judging. However, I do allow myself have some less-mature fun like playing off generalized stereotypes when I'm not directly interacting with others, such as in my blog posts (think of many comedians who do racist jokes; they may be immature and offensive, but its all in good fun and doesn't always represent how the comedian is in person).
The people who look at this and think "My God, this proves those atheists really are vile people!" are going to be very the type of people who will believe that no matter what. It doesn't matter if this post is an immature poke at creationists or if it's the most profoundly intelligent and ground-breaking article ever written, they are going to hold onto what they believe and only pay attention to things that reinforce their current ideology.
I won't pretend to be someone I'm not, especially on my own website, in a vain attempt to convince anti-atheists that we really are not baby-eating monsters. :)
There's only one thing we can do. We must learn the language of the Creationists, infiltrate their society and mate with their women. And hopefully, over time, our differences will be forgotten.
That motivational actually sounds more like Christian Scientists than it does real Christians. They're excuses are pretty much the same as everyone else's when I'm trying to make sense of a ruling in a children's card game: "Konami said so."
I use the term "creationist" not to describe someone who simply believes a god created our universe, but those who follow the "intelligent design" hypothesis. I understand that not all Christians are creationists (for example: DonExodus2 on youtube, for whom I have great respect).

Ya know, Cc2...I'm kind of surprised people would go that far, too. Just to undermine you.
