Canadian hit with whopping 85,000-dollar cellphone bill
OTTAWA (AFP) An oil field worker in western Canada was shocked this month to be charged 85,000 dollars for surfing the Internet on his new mobile phone, local media said Thursday.

Cell phone companies love rip us off

There have been numerous times I've been charged ridiculous fees by my cell phone providers ranging from expensive "packages" added without my permission to view an image, to a $160 overage charge for downloading ONLY 10 Images since they were charging per kilobyte of data transfer since i didn't opt in to buy one of the overpriced internet packages. My cell phone bill right now is over $100 per month, and I cant even receive/send images since I don't have internet access, which would cost an additional $25 per month! I think its downright wrong the way phone carriers can do this!
