Scott Klarr Jr

A 22 year-old web developer (programmer & designer) living in Granite Shoals, Texas.

I am an autodidactic with an ever-expanding list of of interests – primarily in the areas of science, history and religion. I am an atheist (formerly Jehovah’s Witness), liberal independant, materialist and reductionist. I put a high value on objective logic, reasoning and knowledge.

Whenever possible I try to remain humble and level-headed, however I can come off as being arrogant and condescending, especially when discussing religion and politics or if I feel there is an injustice being done. I am terribly anti-social in person, I have telephobia, and I am far-too-often apathetic. Despite my cold outlook of the godless, materialistic, deterministic universe, I have deep empathy for all living creatures and great reverence for Nature.

My favorite things to do: read, work on cars, race cars, attempt to play drums, solve interesting problems, and think about all the things I could do if I had the motivation.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.”

~~ Albert Einstein

About This Site

This blog originally was intended to be strictly about technology and programming but I have since decided to remove the constraints and make it open to whatever the hell I feel like posting. I don’t post nearly enough though because, well, I have an unfortunate tendancy to procrastinate.

I was going to use a platform like WordPress for the sake of convenience but I didn’t quite like it as is, and I vehemently despise modifying other people’s code to fit my fancy. So naturally I programmed this platform from the ground up to be exactly what I wanted. This is my blogging platform. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
